Wednesday Morning Scores

- It's lunchtime in Johnstown, which means that four teams are eating their last meals. Already two clubs have been eliminated. The next set of games begins at 3:00pm with the night cap at the Point Stadium at 6:30pm.

Zanesville scored first, but the Astros from Long Island tied it in the fourth. New York then put up 6 more runs to jump into a 7-1 lead. The Pioneers made it close, but fell short as New York survives to play Youngstown this afternoon in Portage.

Logan Beverage--the last-minute replacement for the Miami franchise--surprised a lot of people with the win over Livonia on Monday. However, faced against powerhouse Baltimore, the boys from Altoona couldn't manager any offense, as the defending champions win 10-0 in 8 innings. Rail City will now play Johnstown's second team--Delweld--this afternoon at Point Stadium. In the regular season, the teams split 1-1, with Logan winning 3-2 in Altoona, and Delweld winning 10-4 in Johnstown.

The rematch from the 2009 championship saw the same result as New Orleans knocked off the Matrix 12-7. The win advances the NORD Boosters to play arch-rival Baltimore at Arcurio field at 3:00pm. New Brunswick suffers their first loss of the tournament, and will now play Livonia's Michigan Cobras at Lilly in an elimination game.

The Des Plaines Patriots could not muster any offense at the Point, as the Michigan Cobras scatter three runs throughout the game. The Cobras now have to play a strong New Brunswick squad in Lilly.
